WHO: Boys and Girls, ages 9 to 14 (Born in the years 1994-1999) from school districts throughout the "Thumb".

COST: FREE

AWARDS: Ribbons will be awarded to all 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place participants. Event winners automatically qualify for STATE FINALS held July 11, 2008 at Holt, Michigan.

REGISTRATION: To register, pick up a registration form at the Bad Axe Parks & Recreation office or CLICK HERE for a printable form. Fill in the form completely and return to the address below by Tuesday, May 20, 2008. Please report 1/2 hour before start time.

RULES: Participants may enter either two track and one field event or two field and one track event. All spikes, cleats and formed/molded shoes such as track spikes, football/soccer shoes are illegal. Only all purpose/turf shoes, sneakers or tennis shoes will be allowed. Event winners automatically qualify for State Finals. Not every winner at the State Final will automatically advance to the National Final due to the geographical distribution rule which states that at least five participants from each State Youth Program will compete in the National Final. A participant may enter only one Local Meet. *All participants must compete in their age group and sex division. * A copy of a birth certificate or notarized statement must be presented to the sponsoring recreation department at the local meet prior to participation.
